David Zinn is a diverse guitarist whose passion for music is only beaten by one thing; his love for teaching. With 30 years of teaching experience under his belt, he is certain to be a great fit no matter your playing style! David started his musical journey with lessons from fingerstyle guitarist Doug Anderson after which he moved his studies to the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. Here he learned from some of the worlds best instructors, and received a very diverse and eccentric music degree. When he isn't teaching, David performs locally, playing with bands, solo wedding performances, and has been the director and coordinator for all of Showtime Music's student recitals. Your level of experience in playing the guitar isn't an issue as David teaches every level of student in the ways of improvisation, music theory and a variety of genres which include rock, blues, metal, jazz, and acoustic fingerstyle at the core. David employs a very relaxed teaching style, and sprinkles (a lot) of humor throughout each of your lessons. If guitar isn't your first choice no worries! David also teaches ukulele and mandolin. He will provide students with the tools and information they need to most successfully attain their goals, be it basic beginning studies, very advanced music theory and understanding, or all points in between. David loves helping students achieve their musical goals and watching them succeed in the world of music. Because of this care for each of his students, he has helped many of them with  auditions for colleges, helped prepare them for playing out live, and has seen a number of students go on to play in national touring acts. One of David's most redeeming qualities is his willingness to share his vast musical knowledge and his love for the guitar, which ultimately translates to all of his reaching their musical goals with ease.
